Wireless technology may also be used to expand existing RFID solutions with cabling.

Wireless readers are especially ideal for installations requiring longer distances between readers and controllers or where cabling can't be applied to link them together - e.g., at remotely located gates of logistics centers or harbors. The range of wireless connection can be expanded even further with additional nodes or controllers.
