IFSEC 2010 next week in Birmingham, UK!

Quite a few of us here in Idesco are coming to IFSEC and look forward to seeing you there. Just as we promised in our last newsletter, we introduce you here to your Idesco® team who will be on hand to welcome you to IFSEC. They are a fairly talented group, as you will discover, and we know you will be delighted visiting with them.

Introducing Idesco's IFSEC Team

Jari Valtonen, CEO. One-of-a-kind RFID pro, Jari brings over fifteen years of unmatched passion for the technology to Idesco Oy. A solid innovator and engineer, Jari also possesses an uncanny understanding of this dynamic - albeit nascent - international industry. He lives in Oulu with his wife, three children and a very kewl Gretsch guitar.


Adam Triggs, Sales Manager, UK & Ireland Sales Manager. Although a recent recruit to Idesco®, Adam had already worked extensively in UK’s Access Control field for 13 years before he was attracted to Idesco Oy by its innovative and high quality hi-tech products. A big Arsenal fan, Adam enjoys running where he lives - just outside Swindon - with his wife and six year old son.

Timo Jauhiainen, MBA, VP, Sales & Marketing. Timo already had 20 dynamic years of international high-tech business experience throughout Europe when he joined Idesco Oy in 2007. His favorite Idesco® product? Hands down, the elegant wood front Access Touch , which he considers as much a work of carpentry craft as high-tech electronics. Married to his motorcycle team - his wife and four children - Timo lives, skis, skates and motorcycles avidly in and around Oulu.

Marko Kreus, OEM Project Manager. MBA-educated Marko Kreus brought 15 years of experience in international technology business when he started at Idesco in international sales. He recently moved to become Idesco’s OEM/ODM Project Manager (Teemu Jääskelä now manages international sales). Marko lives in his birthplace of Oulu with his wife and two daughters, enjoys skiing, cycling, baseball and good food – but especially – cheering for a few select local teams.

Teemu Jääskelä, Area Sales Manager. Teemu has held a variety of sales positions for the past seven years from providing financial solutions consulting to technology products. His favorite challenge at Idesco® has been the field of international trade, ensuring our products meet the needs of different regional markets. Teemu is an accomplished photographer and lives in Espoo.

Thore Wahlin, Regional Director Idesco Ab. Thore has 15 years of international experience in auto and manufacturing ID/RFID, including barcoding/data collection, as well as a broad knowledge of applications and markets within the auto ID field. Still, Thore finds himself surprised with the variety of applications one can create with RFID technology; “the applications seems endless”. He’s pleased seeing the industry moving into IP and wireless solutions in access control, not merely in CCTV.

Anu-Leena Arola, Director, Research & Development. Anu has worked with Idesco for over ten years, and yet does not appear ready to slow her pace of adding to an already impressive and unique skill matrix of electrical engineering research, language skills and high-tech business management. She is now in the midst of pursuing her MBA. Also a student of piano and a travel enthusiast, Anu lives in Oulu and is fascinated with - and collects - refrigerator magnets from travel destinations.

Pasi Heikkinen, Application Engineer. 30 year old Pasi brought an M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Oulu University to Idesco Oy after graduating in 2004. He complements his contributions to Idesco in customer support and application engineering with innovative RF, antenna and hardware design. Pasi is quite proud his shoe size (42) hasn’t changed since he started at Idesco – but then again neither has his love for spicy food, hunting and motorcycles.

Access Touch - a Powerful Wireless RFID Touchscreen Terminal for Customized Solutions

Access Touch is an elegant touch screen terminal with an integrated computer and an RFID reader. It can be used for management of a wireless system or as an independent unit, for e.g. time and attendance, payment, alarm control or as an info screen, etc. Access Touch operates on the Linux operating system and Windows Embedded XP on request.

Access Touch includes a fully operating integrated computer with good performance offering various options for different kind of customised solutions. This product also comes with an integrated RFID reader unit, which can be defined by customer’s needs.

Various technologies are available from 125 kHz to 13,56 MHz technologies. The device is able to connect to wireless access control readers and wireless UHF readers, also offered by Idesco.

The stylish Scandinavian design gives a unique and elegant finish to this shock-proof glass covered device. The front panel can be customised according to customer needs.
