Idesco® invites you to visit us at IFSEC 2010!
IFSEC begins in two weeks in Birmingham, UK, from the 10th to 13th of May. We hope you come will visit us (stand F9 in Hall 4), meet a few of the faces behind Idesco’s team and let us in turn introduce you to our newest innovations and products. We’re very excited about them - not the least a new product line we’re introducing below: the new Cardea Wireless Locking System.
We will also have on display quite a few of the products we have released and that many of you have purchased since IFSEC 2009: the Access 8 CD line, Idesco EPC 5 , IR 6090 B (USB HI) Access 7 C (USB HI), not to mention our new line of eco20 products with low power consumption. We will also be displaying our Quattro and Slim Line with the new LED backlit keypads. Of course, we will also be proudly displaying our innovative, newly redesigned and elegantly Scandinavian touch screen terminal, the Access Touch.

Introducing Idesco’s innovative Cardea Wireless Locking System
The Cardea Wireless Locking System is a new, innovative and exciting Idesco product, designed to address your most difficult lock management problems: locations where no feasible solution exists or where ensuring security is critical. Idesco’s Cardea Wireless Locking System, containing controller, up to 10 readers, up to 50 tags and ready-made database, is a complete and comprehensive system designed for your small to medium-sized lock management installations, where you only need to control a maximum of 10 locks. It comes with a quick, convenient Plug-n-Play installation yet can also accommodate configuration to your existing RFID tag population.
Most importantly, however, the Cardea Wireless Locking System is VERY secure, employing strong encryption algorithms between all communicating components. Built using MIFARE® technology, the Cardea Wireless Locking System can also accommodate the Advanced Encryption Standard using DESFire, ensuring your access control at the highest level of security, 128 bit encryption.
Utmost security isn’t the only benefit that comes with the Cardea Wireless Locking System, however. Due to its rapid, easy installation it is also profoundly cost-effective. It can be installed where no cabling exists between doors, at entry and exit points requiring a greater distance between controllers and readers, in environments constantly exposed to inclement conditions, where reader locations cannot be regulated or are unable to remain fixed. Self-contained, the Cardea Wireless Locking System can operate fully independent of other control systems (e.g. Ethernet). It is maintenance-free, comes with its own ready made database and is entirely safe.
Cardea Wireless Locking System is also a very cost-effective solution compared to traditional wired installations; installation time is very short. All you need is 10-30VDC power and electrical locks. Connect the readers and your locks, power up the devices and you are ready. Cardea Wireless Locking System is particularly well-suited for installations requiring longer distances between readers and controllers and whenever cabling can’t be applied to link readers and controllers, e.g. at far located gates of logistics centres or harbours.
The Cardea Wireless Locking System packet includes: Idesco Controller Unit (ICU), Database, with support for up to ten Idesco Cardea Readers and 50 tags.
